The Business

Sign Trade Supplies is a family built and run company based in the heart of Kent, serving the sign makers of Kent and Sussex for over 25 years. Since launching an online ecommerce store Sign Trade Supplies has significantly expanded their customer base, shipping products right across the UK, to the highlands, islands and the very far reaches of the country (even 6-metre-long posts and large sign trays).

The Issue

Like many small companies, Sign Trade Supplies had been relying on highly manual, disjointed processes. Estimates were calculated in Excel, customer details were stored in Sage and planning the workflow involved the never-ending search for a working whiteboard pen.

Company owner Garrick Dartnell says: “We were wasting huge amounts of time manually creating quotes. When quotes were then changed to jobs we had to manually enter them into Sage. There was a lot of double entry.”
